Terms of Use
Effective August 1, 2026
Agreement
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Kurobi mobile application and related services. Kurobi is operated by Mark Isayan, Avan, Kuchak 47 Building, Apartment 14, Yerevan, Armenia. By downloading, accessing, or using Kurobi, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Kurobi does
Kurobi is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training-support application. It lets you record training sessions, connect logs to positions and technique sequences, review training history, view a bundled three-dimensional technique map, receive practice suggestions and derived progress information, and use an AI-assisted feature called SensAI.
The technique map is a curated reference, not a complete representation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Real-world positions, transitions, variations, names, and applications are effectively unlimited and may differ among instructors, academies, athletes, and rulesets.
Eligibility
Kurobi is intended for worldwide availability. You must be at least 16 years old to use Kurobi. If you are between 16 and the age at which you may enter a binding contract where you live, you may use Kurobi only with permission from a parent or legal guardian where applicable law requires it. You may not use Kurobi if applicable law prohibits you from receiving or using the service.
Accounts
Kurobi currently requires Sign in with Apple. Apple may provide an account identifier and, depending on your choices, your name or email address, including a private relay address. You are responsible for controlling your Apple account and device, providing accurate information, and activity through your Kurobi account. Contact contact@devcraftsio.com promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may not create an account for someone else without authorization, impersonate another person, sell or transfer your account, or use another person’s account.
Free access and Kurobi Pro
At the effective date of these Terms, a free account may create up to five active training logs. Existing content remains viewable if the free limit is reached or a paid subscription expires. Kurobi Pro may allow additional training logs and other paid functionality described in the app. Features, limits, and subscription benefits may change prospectively, subject to applicable law.
Subscriptions and billing
Kurobi Pro subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s App Store. The localized price, currency, billing period, and any other purchase terms shown by Apple at purchase apply to that transaction. Kurobi’s limited free tier is not a free trial and does not automatically convert into a paid subscription.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled unless Apple’s purchase screen states otherwise.
- Apple charges your Apple Account payment method and handles refunds and billing disputes under its rules and applicable law.
- You can manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings; cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- Deleting Kurobi or your Kurobi account does not cancel an App Store subscription.
Kurobi does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple processes payments, while RevenueCat processes purchase receipts, product identifiers, subscription status, and entitlements needed to provide paid access.
Your training content
You retain any rights you have in training logs, notes, technique selections, reviews, audio notes, transcripts, chat messages, and other content you create. You give Kurobi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, transmit, format, analyze, and otherwise process that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, synchronize, secure, maintain, and improve the service; generate requested views, recommendations, and AI responses; provide support; enforce these Terms; and comply with law.
This license ends when the relevant content is deleted from active systems, except where temporary backup retention, legal obligations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or de-identified information requires continued processing. Do not include another person’s sensitive or confidential information unless you have a lawful reason and any required permission.
SensAI and generated information
When you use SensAI, Kurobi may send your prompt, recent chat history, recent training logs and notes, technique and position information, gap signals, and derived progress information to Anthropic’s API through Kurobi’s Supabase backend, as described in the Privacy Policy.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, or unsuitable for your situation. Treat it as a prompt for reflection, not authoritative coaching, medical advice, or a safety guarantee. SensAI does not autonomously save training logs or change your progress. Verify technique advice with a qualified instructor.
Training and safety
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu involves risk of serious injury and other inherent risks, including strains, joint injuries, choking, loss of consciousness, concussion, paralysis, and death. Kurobi is a recordkeeping, visualization, and educational-support tool, not medical advice, emergency guidance, or a substitute for qualified in-person instruction and appropriate supervision.
Kurobi does not assess your health, readiness, skill, surroundings, or training partner. Schematic sequences cannot show every grip, timing detail, body type, ruleset, or safety condition. Progress scores, familiarity levels, gaps, and practice queues are software-derived estimates, not certifications of competence or safety. Train within your ability, follow your coach and facility rules, and stop when a partner taps or safety requires it.
Acceptable use
Do not use Kurobi unlawfully or harmfully; violate intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights; harass or expose another person; attempt unauthorized access; bypass subscription or security controls; introduce malware; scrape or overload the service; reverse engineer the app except where law expressly permits it; or use Kurobi or its output to build a competing model, dataset, graph, or service without written permission.
Ownership and app license
Except for your content and third-party materials, Kurobi’s software, interface, branding, graphics, text, catalog, graph structure, visualizations, and derived features are owned by or licensed to Mark Isayan and protected by applicable law.
Subject to these Terms, you receive a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Kurobi on Apple-branded products you own or control as permitted by Apple’s usage rules. The app is licensed, not sold. Technique names and concepts may be generic or associated with third parties; their inclusion does not claim ownership of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or endorsement by any athlete, instructor, academy, or governing body.
Third-party services and availability
Kurobi depends on Apple, Supabase, Anthropic, RevenueCat, PostHog, Sentry, and other infrastructure providers. Their terms and privacy notices may apply separately, and their services may change or be interrupted outside our control.
Kurobi stores user data locally for offline use and attempts to synchronize supported data when connectivity is available. Sync may be delayed or fail because of networks, account state, service outages, software defects, conflicts, or other technical conditions. Do not treat Kurobi as the sole record of information whose loss would cause serious harm.
Account deletion and termination
You can initiate account deletion from Kurobi’s profile settings. Successful deletion is intended to permanently remove your Kurobi authentication account and user-owned training, preference, familiarity, recommendation, and chat records from Kurobi’s active Supabase database, then clear the app’s local user database and locally referenced training-audio files.
Account deletion does not cancel a subscription and does not necessarily erase transaction, analytics, security, diagnostic, legal, or provider records retained separately. Contact contact@devcraftsio.com for a broader privacy-deletion request.
We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, legal or security risk, or if the service is no longer commercially or technically practical. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kurobi is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, complete, fit for a particular training objective, or compatible with every device or third-party service. We disclaim implied warranties to the extent law permits. These disclaimers do not affect mandatory warranties or consumer rights where you live.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mark Isayan will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, data, or expected savings arising from Kurobi.
Total liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Kurobi during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 100 in local-currency equivalent. These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, non-limitable gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence where limitation is prohibited, or other rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
App Store provisions
These Terms are between you and Mark Isayan, not Apple. Mark Isayan is responsible for Kurobi, its content, maintenance, support, and claims concerning the app. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
If Kurobi fails to conform to a warranty that cannot be disclaimed, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the app purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation to the maximum extent permitted by law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism and are not on a United States Government prohibited- or restricted-party list.
Governing law and disputes
Before filing a claim, contact contact@devcraftsio.com so we can try to resolve it informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to mandatory law, courts with territorial jurisdiction in Yerevan, Armenia will have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections or the non-waivable right to bring proceedings elsewhere under the law of your habitual residence.
Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Kurobi, law, security needs, or business practices. We will post revised Terms and update the effective date, with additional notice for material changes where reasonably practical or legally required. If you do not agree, stop using Kurobi and cancel any subscription separately through Apple.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, Apple’s applicable purchase terms, and terms shown at purchase form the agreement concerning Kurobi.
